drag radial in tt5.

i know we have discussed this before but, is the 315 drag radial COMPARABLE to the 29.5-10.5.if i was to read the rules,it would be a comparable tire too me.you have the 315 thats a bit taller and wider and 325 a bit smaller.there is no radial tire that is the same size.maybe i should just read between the lines!

I think the 315 is very compariable

The argument could be made that the 315 is faster than the True 10.5, current Drag Radial records are faster than TT5 tires by a little bit. Berry Motorsports just went fast on the radial than they had on the TT5 tire in testing.

Is the TT5 class limited by tire height? The reason I ask is I wonder how a "radial slick" would hold up against a "drag radial" I know the radial slicks are less forgiving on a marginal track but the rolling resistance would seem to be comparable to drag radials???

we don't care either way. but honestly, the class is called "true 10.5". 315 and 325 d/r's are NOT true 29.5X10.5 tires. rules say "may be measured". i say, if d/r's are allowed, the name of the class should be changed to "limited street" or something, and other tire manufacturers that have "10.5" labeled on the sidewall that are a bit wider than 10.5 inches should be allowed no questions asked (like hoosiers 10.5 slick which is actually 10.8 inches i believe)... and no, i'm not talking about W tires.

it's just my opinion. don't care either way. we already know what tires we're runnin. ;)
