Yeah, they are illegal and thats why some of us are heading to the track more. Its hard to adjust when street racing is run what ya brung and the track has lots of rules. I'm not knocking the rules I know that they are trying to keep things safe and fair. I'm making changes to my 6.0 in the eighth mile car (trying to quit street racing) to try and compete at the track. I guess I'll race 6.40 index until I can afford parts to try Drag Radial. I hope more street racers convert to track racers!

Let the rear suspension separate the classes, not the tire! This will bring in a lot more cars. This is the beginning of this deal,so why put more limitations on the cars than what are in place.Let's get the cars at the track. What's the worst that could happen?Adding another class to fit all the cars that show up!

I vote D.O.T's and 1/4 mile. There are a lot of real street cars that make a lot of thier steam in the second half of the 1/4 and running 1/8 will handicap them. If the idea is to get the street guys on the track I think the 1/4 will do a much better job of that.
