a poem to describe the shoot-out

Postby Larry Jr. » Thu Apr 02, 2009 10:54 pm

i made this one up a few months ago...but it describes the weekend pretty good....

this ones for you pitrat

the sun goes down on a warm saturday nite
200 racers racing, hoping to win the fight
4 classes of brackets, and SHOOT-OUT cars too
all of us competing, for the trophy shiny and new
as the cars get eliminated, the fields get smaller
spectators get excited, some cheer and holler
as a pair of racers line up, ready for the race
the focused look of concentration, showing on their face
with the burn-outs completed, they roll to the line
confident in their set-up.....shes running just fine
as the lights fall down, they drop the hammer
banging gears in the Lenco, hes known as the jammer
they dance down the blacktop, and drive out of site
if that sounds exciting, come to the shoot-out friday and saturday nite 8-) 8-)
