I agree Neil they have done alot Al and the gang have busted there butts and it shows just look at the spectaters and car count for the brackets we just need shoot out racers back..

neal i agree with some of the stuff you and larry said for a change but i have to disagree with you on one thing about if you show up to all the shootout races in index you get to run SM , i had planed to run more shootouts in 6.50 this year but i had other stuff come up like my dad having surgery and couldn't get off of work . now i would go for bracket or 6.50 index , pro tree or 5 tenths , but i want to use my transbrake . its just makes the ride more fun for me .

Rumor Now has it that Street Machine WILL include Index.
So hopefully this is now all a moot point.
Two sets of circumstance were what I was addressing.
First a lack of index participation in the regular shootouts.
This is the big one. Im sure we all want to see more cars
at all races.
Second is that without fail SM always brings out
some cars that haven't gone down the track in five years
and we all get to sit and wait while the crew cleans up the
oil downs from them.
And of course as always, parking is a big issue at Street Machines.
So just to clarify:
I was just making a suggestion, More aimed at
getting count up at Shootouts, rather than
trying to exclude anyone from anything.
I did not say "ALL" the Shootouts.
In fact just showing up for one or two
would probably put anyone in the top ten in most of the
index's this year.
If we were to ever get to the point that choices had to be
made about who could run that would be a good problem
for the track to have.

Before the Index cars get picked on too much here lets take a minute and look back at the name of this thread. Why did Outlaw 10.5 get mixed with Pro Street....... Lets have a break down of how many cars where in each class. Pro Mod to Mean Street. As Far as Street Machine goes, Im all for the little ones getting out there and racing as well ( I am putting my nephew in one next year) But Street Machine is not the time for that, It is a door slammer race right? Bottom line is i want to RACE, and if spectators and racers continue to get upset and not come back how are the bills gonna get paid?
