I found a 78 malibu 2 door 305 car with 85k miles. The body is straight, no rust with a faded paint job. The dash is all cracked and the rest of the interior is a little wore and faded. It runs and drives. What is it worth? Ive never been into cars ive always been a truck guy but I think this would be a good project. How much is it worth and what should I look for when checking it out?

The rear frame rails are real bad about rusting out in those cars.

car looked great till I opened the trunk. On the drivers side there was a big block of wood with a carriage bolt going through it. My wife crawled under it and it had wood blocks around bolts going through the rusty frame to keep the bolts from pulling throuh. Thanks Bob I had no idea that was a problem and almost bought it. I wish it wasnt junk its a nice car

Can you tell me the secret on how to get your wife to crawl under the car. Did you send her to a class or something. Please forward that info. :D
