I am looking for a little assistance from the racers on here. To race in the mean street class is a roll bar or cage mandatory? I am looking to race in the mean street class both at ORP and in the series involving ORP, Gateway, and Tulsa.

Roll Cage Required
- Any car exceeding 135 mph or has altered floor or firewall
- Convertibles running 10.99 or quicker 1/4 mile, or 6.99 or quicker 1/8th mile
- Any car 9.99 or quicker 1/4 mile, or 6.49 or quicker 1/8th mile.

Each track will enforce their own rules on this but I would think that you would need a cage at all three tracks.

what if car has stock frame rails but cut body to fit the 10.5 tire, and are coil over shocks ok in rear

Yes the Mean Street class adopted the rules from MW8.5RA. Only difference is they will allow a 275/50 radial and we are not. You can find rules at www.mw85ra.org or in the rules for the M/T shootout series on Ozark Homepage
