The bellhousing on a built AOD I have is cracked 1/2 of the way around or so. Had it sold, went to pull from running car...found that. Only real options I've seen are replacing the case (~$500) or finding someone to put a JW ultra-bell on it (bellhousing is ~$380, ? on labor). I like the idea of the bell housing replacement the best as it adds value, vs just being out the $ on a stock case.

Anyone around that can do the bell install? Other ideas?

Thanks!!

Mike

Thanks guys. I am pretty sure I called C&R, and they said no...but I'll call again. It's a simple job, so simple that I have just about finished it in my shop.

Sometimes it's the simple things that get ya...final step of torquing the BH down with red loctite and orings...one of the pump bolt holes stripped out with less than 20ftlb. I swear this transmission has determined that A: it's done working for me, and B: it ain't gonna be sold to anyone else. :great
