Postby amputeeracing » Sat Feb 28, 2009 9:27 pm

I changed the oil in the car at the end of the year last year & used 10/30, normaly i run 20/50. i put the car up and made no passes since. today I changed the oil out again back to 20/50 getting ready for the track to open and the oil was a little milky, the car has only ben started a few times since november. any recommendations? thanks for any help.

is it on gas or alky....... i would check for a leaky intake gasket, if that dosent fix it, and you must tear into it a little further make sure your rocker arm studs are properly thread sealed, cause they tap directly into the water jacket...........................if its on alky load it up and come racing.... its also very possible if your shop dosent stay heated, starting it up on occasion through the winter the hot oil and cold shop, your oil pan will draw moisture and milk up your oil a little..... i'd say fire it up and get it to temp and pull the stick and see what it looks like,...honestly that sounds like what has happened

James is right, gotta get it up to temp to get rid of the moisture.
