Ok--Question for fiberglass hood owners-

Postby Daddy's Girl » Sat Feb 21, 2009 12:13 pm

I have a fibergass hood w/ 4" scoop on the Camaro and noticed a gap in the front of the hood. My concern, and from what I can gather online a ligit one, is it going air born on me. Here's the question---although I do not particularly like the look, where can I buy pins for the hood locally and how difficult are they to install?

I guess it depends on the quality of the hood. I have a Harwood cowl with the "show quality" underside. I'm just using to regular hood pins and it bolts to the stock hinges too.

Pins are a good idea, and remembering to put cross pin in is also, Right Bob? :P
They are not hard at all to install.

If you dont like hood pins, can always try to go with a quarter turn, or duzs fastening system on the hood

I think the best was Becky Givens Challenger a few years ago when she lost the entire front end. It lifted off like a great big box kite and climbed about 200 ft in the air and floated over the power lines on the spectator side. It then glided over into the field and landed right side up. It wasn't really busted up real bad. It never tumbled or spun, it was just awsome....well I thought so, she was a little bummed.
