Ozark Raceway Park has completed it's first round of improvements to the racing surface in preparation for the 2009 racing season. The surface has been ground and polished, getting rid of any bumps or irregularities, along with a lot of built up rubber.

With such a virgin track surface, the initial prep work will be key to how well the track works.  ORP is going to have Jason Rueckert, Director of Motorsports Development at VP do the initial track prep during the end of February to get the track ready to race on.

Jason is the guy that does the ADRL track prep for their series and most recently did the track prep at Orlando and the US Nationals at Bradenton, Florida which resulted in the first 6 second Drag Radial pass.

After the initial prep of the track in February, Jason will be back to prep the track for the 1st Shoot Out in April to make sure it's got teeth... you might want to upgrade your axles now!  Look for track records to fall this year!
