Thursday September 16th
Pit Parking and Testing

• Pits Open at 1 pm
• Open Testing 6-10 pm
• Spectators $10
• Test n' Tune $20

We will have the gates open at 1 pm for everyone to get parked early. We are doing this so that some of the out of town guys that want to pull in on Thursday can do so! This will hopefully help take some of the pressure off of the front gate on Friday morning! If this is your first time racing at ORP and you have a big truck/trailer rig please give Jamond a call so that we can try and have a good parking spot for you before you get here! If you are not a first time racer at ORP, and have a large rig.... drop us a line also so that Jamond can have a spot ready for you too! Parking lots of big rigs all at the same time can be difficult, so please help us out by giving us a courtesy call ahead of time...... and thanks in advance! Contact Jamond at 417-840-5035.

Friday September 17th
Jet Funny Car, Top Fuel Dragster, Test n' Tune & Qualifying

• Gates open at 8:00 am
• Open Testing 1-5 pm
• 2 Rounds of Qualifying at 7 and 9 pm
• Spectator Entry $15
• TnT or Qualifying $20

On Friday the action will start heating up quickly with open testing runs from 1 to 5 pm, then the first round of qualifying starts at 7 pm. Once the sun sets South West Missouri will start getting LOUD! Scott Palmer will be putting on exhibition passes in his 8000 hp Nitro Top Fueler with bone jarring bass that will be heard for miles around. Later the Space Machine Jet Funny Car will light up the night sky as Team Dewitt fires up their brand new GE J-85-21 jet engine enclosed in a state of the art carbon fiber Pontiac Trans Am Funny car body specifically designed for land speed records! You'll want to be a fair distance from the starting line as the Florida native hits the afterburners and turns loose 6500 lbs of thrust and takes off screaming towards the finish line!

At 9 pm the second round of shootout qualifying begins and the heads up cars will begin to find the "Sweet Spot" for Saturday's big race. The boost controllers will be tweaked, big pills stuck in the nitrous systems and blower pulleys swapped out as each team looks to find another tenth to lay the smack down on their competition on Saturday. This is the race that the racers prepare for months in advance, because there's nothing like the bragging rights for being the Street Machines Winner!

Saturday September 18th
The Big Show - Nitro, Blowers, Nitrous and Turbos will be SCREAMING!

• Eliminations start at 5 pm

Saturday's Events start off with the pit gate opening at 8 am for more parking to get late arrivals in the door - if there's room! Open testing starts at 10 am and Shoot Out qualifying begins at 1 pm with another round at 3 pm - the race teams will be putting their final tweaks on their tuneups in prepartioon for eliminations which start at 5 pm.

Once the sun sets a we'll take a break in the Doorcar racing action and bring out Scott Palmer's 8000 hp Nitro Top Fueler. If you're never seen a Nitro Top Fueler make a pass, it's one of those things in life you don't want to miss. The sound isn't just LOUD, it's so deep you will feel it rattle your insides as he makes a pass with Nitro flames licking at the night sky. Watching one of these cars go down the track will be something you and your kids will never forget! And if that's not enough to get your pulse rate up, you'll also see Team Dewitt's Space Machine Jet Powered Pontiac Trans Am powered by a GE J-85-21 jet engine. You don't want to be standing behind the starting line when this sucker lights off, or you might not have any hair left on your head! Big smoke clouds and awesome flames will explode behind the car as he warms it up to take the staging beams. Once Dewitt let's the Trans Am loose, the shriek of the massive Jet Engine will assault your ear drums as he blasts down the Ozark Raceway Park surface.

After the exhibitions we'll be back to racing action as the areas fastest doorcars do battle to prove who is the baddest in the midwest! NOBODY knows what will happen, these cars will sometimes blow the tires off in a crazy tire smoking launch, or they might hook up and point the nose at the moon! This is the race of the year that you don't want to miss to see who gets the honors of STREET MACHINE WINNER!
